Black and white: It was a slogan of some years ago. In fact in the history of photography, black and white has always been the better way to express sensations, to describe eyes, situation, without using colour. If taking a picture means drawing with light, white is the picture par excellence, where only the line, the frame and grey gradations are the weapon the photographer has at disposal. It is for sure more difficult than colour photography, it needs more capacity of abstraction. |
